Hinges
Saracen SXL Hinges
The SXL range of friction hinges offer major advances in security, weathersealing and operational performance. Manufactured from high quality stainless steel, the hinge is designed for high security applications to meet the requirements of BS 7950*. Featuring a hollow rivet in the pointed arm, the SXL range provides a high level of durability and greater resistance to deformation when the window is under attack.
The pointed sash arm and Verton™ end cap together provide an excellent gasket compression and smooth engagement.
The SXLE features a location block on the pointed arm for additional support. Restrictor versions with an integrated mechanism restrict the opening of the window to 100mm**
in compliance with BS 8213-1:2004.
Reflex Friction Hinges
The Reflex range of friction hinges are designed for safety and emergency exit in accordance with current standards. Designed to accommodate sash’s up to 20kgs, 650mm wide x 1300mm high and to meet the requirements of BS 5588-1:1990 and the Building Regulations
Document B Fire Safety 2006 edition: “The unobstructed openable area, at least 0.33m2 and at least 450mm high x 450mm wide. The route through the window may be at an angle rather than straight through”.
Reflex hinges are only suitable for side hung applications. Manufactured from high quality stainless steel, the reflex hinge is designed to allow the window to open initially to egress. Easy Clean is achieved simply by fully opening the window and applying pressure to the sash allowing access for the external cleaning of the glass.
Simply closing the window resets it to the Egress position when next opened.
The friction screw in the green slider may be adjusted to suit to individual weight of the window.
The security performance of the window may be enhanced by the fitting of Hingeguard protection plates.
Nexus 3D Hinges
The Nexus range of 3D adjustable door hinges have been designed specifically for PVC-U doors and have been engineered for long term trouble-free performance.
The hinges provide enhanced door security with stainless steel stabilising pins on the hinge and face plate locating into reinforcement.
The design allows for easy on-site lateral, height and compression adjustment and will accommodate profiles with a step of 13mm – 21mm.
The Nexus range is available in a selection of attractive finishes and is supplied complete with fixing screws.
Egress E1
The Egress E1 friction hinge is designed for safety and emergency exit in accordance with current standards.
Designed to accommodate window sizes up to 20kgs, 650mm wide x 1300mm high and to meet the requirements of BS 5588-1:1990 and the Building Regulations Document B Fire Safety 2006 edition: “The unobstructed openable area, at least 0.33m2 and at least 450mm high x 450mm wide.
